The Bird......
Weight watchers is going to be forgotten for one day this month and that’s the 22 ...Thanksgiving. I am going to grill the bird this year (it leaves the 3 oven open for the other stuff), I do it about every 3 years or so I brine it for 24 hours and then into the smoker (I am using apple and maple wood) and a few extra briquette just to keep the heat around 300. It is a thing of beauty.... really. My oldest makes a pecan pie to KILL for and my youngest makes apple pie MMMMMMM, and Mrs. Fyreman well she Is in charge of the other pastries, rolls, and biscuits. Then Its nap time.

I brine my turkeys too. There haven't been any leftovers for about 4 years running :)

Sohos if you are willng t put out the effort to travel to Oregon the meal is on me = P
