This a Picture of Dad, as Sgt John A. Newell on Dec 6 1941, he said the next day was one ove the most stressful days in his life, one month later he would be sent off to OCS school and go from Sgt Newell to LT Newell. He taught me more about life and living than I thought possible.

3-1 piggy back?

Ok Tuesday night at drill I had a Brain Fart ....Huge, and I just could not remember how to set up a haul line for rope rescue, a simple 3-1 piggy back to pull some one up a hill.

I hate feeling OLD

My Firehouse

My poor little Fire station is so torn to shit right now, they have all the external sheeting off of it and the insulation off, all there is the steel frame. It still smells of scorched electrical and plastics.
Our little Brush Engine just came back from being Repainted and it looks good, My Structural Engine will be a Year out to replace it, and that's on the fast track with Boise Mobile. I have to get my ass in gear and start getting some of our younger firefighters thought there Pumper Operator class, and I have to finish my Tender Operator work book.

COWS/ wildfyre school

Ok where to start the weekend was over the top, Central Oregon High desert it soooooooo beautiful and HOT, we got there and had class on the first day then we went out into the field and had live fire on Saturday. Saturday late morning before noon I started to get woozy and everyone thought "Dehydrated" and I wasn't I drank tons of water and was Peeing clear, I went to Madres to the Podunk hospital there and found out I had inner ear Infection. Doug was done playing fyreman : (
