thank you Lord

I had a huge weight lifted from me today....my oldest , I love him don't get me wrong but that boy can give me the gray hair. He has the uncanny ability to pick women like he would pick his nose.
they are just doozers. The last one, he had enuff of and said he was done, and it ended up with her pressing assault charges on him....long story....damn near horror story, the District Attorney was going to press Felony assault charges on him with out even reviewing the case...Nada, no, zip, not at all. He came into court (DA) and Spouted off in front of the Judge and the judge yanked the case from him and gave it to the Assistant DA who went through the records very closely and said there was no way in hell he would even bring the stupidity to trial. Son Cleared

Wow
Thank you Heavenly Father!

I tried to go to drill

So Honest to God I was going to go to Drill tonight ....then Mrs fyreman decided to go work on her tree stand. That was not a problem, what was a problem was she had new straps to attach
her tree stand and they were zip tied to a piece of plastic and she decided to use her Schrade hunting knife(read Scalpel) to cut the zip ties, and she slipped. 1" wide and 1" deep in the meat of the heel of her hand (ouch), 2 hours later, two hydracodone, topical lidocaine, lidocaine shots, irrigations, stitches, and x-ray and we can go home. Her was pitiful, and angry...its close to the end of deer season.

Stuff

Stuff

My Wife has a Goodwill fairy that grants here all sorts of luck at our local Goodwill
She finds the most Primo stuff, I lie to you not. Stetson felt hats, Nike Outdoor jackets,
Coach Purses, Pendleton shirts, Barbour waxed hunting coat. I always ask for hoodies and she finds Uber nice Polar fleece. She found a Yves Saint Laurent designer dress once, Anyway yesterday I was sitting in a recliner at GW and she walks by in these

And they are $200.00 pair of riding boots; she has been lusting after them for a long time
And there is a pair of them at GW for $25.00 WTF, collage kids get rid of the greatest stuff.

We had the Best time last week at the coast; I am missing my baby Sis and her family
Her oldest is the tall and quiet and very responsible, her middle son is a skater with a huge sense of humor, and the youngest, Grace is a like her mother was at that age
We ate and goofed off and talked and decompressed.

GUN LEATHER, its just another part of GUN PORN

My wife yells at me "are you surfing the net for PORN' well yes I was

GUN LEATHER, its just another part of GUN PORN

So I have been looking for a holster for my 45 acp. I cant stand plastic holsters
they bother the crap out of me. I want a Desantis holster like this.

Its like my old Tom Harris custom I had for my S&W M-29, that my son "borrowed" for his N frame.
I am a geek and I still think it would be fun to have one of these rigs for my 1911

like Rooster Cogburn said in "True Grit"
"Fill your hands, you son of a bitch"

(people don't tell the Missus or there will be hell to pay) LOL

Blogging is gonna get sketchy for a little while (influx of very cool family type people)
maybe a week or so I will try to post a little

XOXO

Rural Living

Living the rural life
Where to start, lets start with our house we live in a turn of the century farmhouse that is HUGE
6-maybe 7 bedrooms 2 baths, and It runs us ragged keeping up with it. The place was a Land grant to my wifes Great Great Grandpa, we have the original document signed by the Secretary of war
Edwin M. Stanton for service to the Union Army. Her Family has been on the property since 1858. I have always lived Rural...I don't think I could live in a town, I enjoy the sound of the creek running through the yard and the Coyotes howling, the Great horned Owls and the short eared owls talking at night. My water comes off the hill from a spring. 88 feet of drop to the house ( anyone who can calculate the head pressure gets a Atta boy or girl) and it tastes just fine I enjoy the fact that if I chose to I can step out my front door and Pee in the grass and ....so what. If someone comes to the house I don't know I step out on the porch to greet them, usually there is a pistol in the small of my back and my hand on it, I am not paranoid, its just that Its a long roll for the Sheriff to my casa, there is a good chance that if I know you there is still a pistol on my person somewhere, and I don't care what the caliber is as long as it starts with a 4. We have 4 dogs, Thug is the biggest and most socially unacceptable, the UPS man came the other day to deliver my nieces new lariat and Thug scared him off, Molly is the Pretty one, Harley is the crafty on and Willow is the smallest. We raise hay and have horses, we garden and hunt, I have been without power to the house for 14 days(one Hell of a Ice storm in the Willamette), I just deal with it. None of this is a rant its just a fact and I would n0t change any of it anyhow.

I want you all to have a Stellar weekend I will be getting ready for my baby Sister to come down and visit and raise hell with me

This Is how many years today Mrs Fyreman and Me has been Hitched and we just keep rolling along. The road has been bumpy at times and there sure as hell have been some wild rides, but over all its been real good. Our first house was a 18 ft' Sioux lodge (tepee) and we were so damn in love it didn't matter. So you all have a great day I know I will .

It sounds Like I am going out to Diner tonight....Prime Rib? mmmm

Say hello to my little friend

I bought this the other day, Its a Smith and Wesson 642 airweight double action 38 Spl.
certified for +P, I got a smokin deal on it from a LEO buddy of mine in the Fire department.
Anyway I bring it home and Daughter of fireman absconds with it in a New York Minuet and I,m out one shooting iron. I told her she is going through class for concealed carry though she says "yes Please", She had been looking for one for a long time and this little gem just sparkled. Call me a weird Dad but I feel a little safer with her packing

Friday, March 14, 2008

I am having a dry spell blogging and I shouldn't complain. My wife and daughter are out working in the rain today with our sawyer falling trees...they are going to be drowned rats. Its our wet season…Agent can attest to this, Liquid Sunshine. Anyway we have several timber units that the trees need thinning in or they will not grow up to be good saw logs. And that is a hand’s on job.

ya all have a great weekend

and remember

My Engine

I am being very patient but I want my Fire Engine finished...the Chassis got to Boise Mobil Equipment late because there was a strike at the International plant then the chassis got red tagged(things not right, needing repair). So here I am Chomping at the bit and muttering "BAWLZ"well anyway it looks like BME has pushed to the front of the line and things are moving forward. Here is a look at the chassis before they started any work. When she is finished her name will be 233 and she will be a looker yes she will, look how tall it will be, it has what we call a high angle of departure and is well suited for Rural and Urban interface work....being 4X4 there wont be much slowing her down

I type this as I listen to Chris Cornell Singing Black Hole Sun ...Unplugged, and it is so cool a song
Peace out People and have a Great Friday

My weekend

My weekend, Saturday Morning I got up and went to Weight watchers And I have lost another
3 Lbs. I was really stoked about that. (Christmas and New Years set me back a little) then of to the Market. We have a little Market in town that has the best produce and they label everything as to where it came from and use a lot of local stuff in season. Then home and raking, does anyone out there have redwood tress growing near to them .....holy crap these things suck. they can dump a metric shit ton (that is a term for a lot around our house) of needles and cones. the Latin name for them is Sequoiadendron giganteum they are about 100 years old and they are over 10 ft through at the base. then we had friends over for pasta and chicken and some nice Sangiovese wine, we are planning this coming weekend at the Newport Seafood and Wine festival, its something I wait for every year....I love it. Then Sunday we went up in our woods with our logger and helped him cut out a end piece of a 70 year old Doug Fir and loaded it into our truck, talk about heavy, I had to use the backhoe to unload it UGG. I will only be working 3 days this week and I will post pics of the Wine festival...have a good day

New Potlicker

As Promised

Fyremans Thug

Here he is being "pretty"
I usually don't like the close cropped ears
but both breeds tend to have tender ears.

Here he is trying to mooch gummy worms off
my niece, this shot shows how barrel chested he is
my wife worked on his leash skills all day
and there was marked improvement.
He is going to make a grand addition to
the Fyreman herd

get the chance but I now own a 135 lb
Bull Mastiff / Boxer cross

His name is Thug
he is a very cool dog...and I'm gonna use
him to Keep the Meth Neighbors away
(At Bay). HE IS HUGE.

Update Mrs Fyreman and my daughter
just gave him a bath they said there was
no fight at all. But getting him in the tub

I miss him

It has been a year since My Dad passed away and I am

feeling very lonely, this isn't a pity party. I just am missing

him. Its kind of like having a hand removed and you go

through therapy and get moving on with your life and then

one day you try to put on a pair of gloves and something is

just not right and then it dawns on you.

There is something missing
