My weekend

This weekend was a little busy for me, I hoped to do a few things around the house and goof off, I did dishes, ran 4 loads of laundry I got to watched a few cooking shows, I made a big pot of 5 bean Soup, Then I ran to town for Pizza, then it got busy, Our forester had lit off brush piles a week earlier in a 17 acre logged unit and we had some erratic winds Friday night and one of those piles decided to slop over the boundary and burn an extra 1/2 acre of forest floor, So my wife and niece and a family friend had been out hunting and I got back from the Pizza run to find out that our forester had been down and called in the department of forestry (Good Call) so we all went up and mopped on the fire for 4 hours Saturday night and then back on Sunday and mopped on it for another 3 hours, This boy is tired Monday morning, But it was cool cuz every One deferred to me on fire questions.

Chicken Enchiladas

I want chicken enchiladas with green sauce
I make a mean chicken enchilada, simmering chicken thighs in a little sauce till it shreds easily, then I use 50/50 Colby jack and pepper jack, Roll it all up in a flour tortilla shell. Meg likes a little black olive in hers but normally I forgo any extras on them then into the pan with some more cheese and sauce and into the oven at 350 deg. for about 45 min.., MMMMMMMThen a little Tabasco (any kind works for Doug) on them and WATCHOUT,I have made these at the firehouse several times and They always vanish

Do you have a song you don't get tired of hearing, I was just listening to this song and I really don't ever get tired of it. It sometimes drives my wife nuts when I identify music groups and albums and the year it came out.
It is so Soggy here In the Willamette (pronounced Wil-lam-it, Damn it )valley right now, Mrs Fyreman is out hunting the elusive The Black-tailed deer with her trusty Boom Stick(she gave it
a nick name...Buckly....it has to do with the quantity of antlered deer she has put in the freezer with it) and I'm hungry for Venison Summer sausage MMMMMMMMM.

open house

Last Saturday was our Open house at the fire hall and we had a lot of fun, the adults for the most part are a lost cause but we still can mold childrens brains with good information

our new chief is really great to work with and the P.R. is beyond words, here is me and sparky
